In July 1998, I discovered the wonderful world of UNEMush. And was soon one of the biggest Gumbies around. UNE is short for University of New England, which is situation in North Central NSW Australia, as as far as I know it's the only Australian based mush.

Mush, as we refer to it, it basically a big social thing. We all sit there and chat. There's no killing, no hacking and no maiming - unless it's with the sharpe edge of someones tongue. Here we create our own worlds and roleplay our characters to a certain degree - well when the mood suits. It is fortunate for me that I most of the people on mush in person, and infact live in the same town as most them for 4 years.

My character on mush is called Sephrenia, which is named after a styric sorceress from the novels by David and Leigh Eddings. As most of you are coming from Mud, then please let me make this point. Yes, there is a Sephrenia on EN, who is an Imm. I am not her and we are in no way related.

Sephrenia has become an alter-ego over the years, which I enjoy shimmying into. The image to the left is sort of what I imagine my character to look like - though she wears a few more clothes! :)
